What is the color name finder?

A color name finder returns the closest named color for any HEX, RGB or picked color, from CSS names, X11, Crayola and paint brands, along with how far the input is from that name.

What is this color called?

Enter a value or pick from an image. The tool compares it with several thousand named colors in CIELAB and lists the nearest ten with Delta E, so you can see whether the color is a true navy or a blue that only resembles one. Each name links to its full record with shades, harmonies and print references.
