What is the color converter?

A color converter turns one color notation into all the others. Enter HEX, RGB, HSL, HSB, CMYK, LAB, LCH, OKLCH, XYZ, LUV, HWB or a named color and get every format at once, plus the nearest Pantone, RAL and named match.

Which format to use where

HEX and RGB are for the web and screens. HSL and HSB are for adjusting a color by hand. CMYK is for print, and should be finalized through the printer's ICC profile. LAB and LCH are device-independent and used for measuring color difference. OKLCH is the modern CSS space that keeps lightness even, which is what most of the tools on this site use internally. The converter shows all of them from one input and explains each.

How do I convert a HEX color to RGB?

Enter the HEX and read the RGB line, or use the HEX to RGB page. Each pair of hex digits is one channel from 0 to 255.

Is the CMYK conversion accurate for print?

It is a profile-free approximation. For a press-ready build, convert through the printer's ICC profile (FOGRA39, GRACoL) in your layout software or the Pro export here.

What is OKLCH?

A perceptually uniform color space with lightness, chroma and hue channels, supported in CSS. Equal steps in OKLCH look equal to the eye, unlike HSL.
